Alex Pazdnikoff · Technical leader · Hardware · Software · AI

I turn an idea into a working product — and I know every layer it runs on.

17+ years leading IT and engineering, still hands-on. I define the problem, design the system, build it myself or with a team and AI agents, integrate it with what already exists and keep it running in production — from microcontroller firmware and medical devices to enterprise platforms and private AI.

01 / Cross-section
  1. L7 Business outcome 17+ years leading IT for operating companies
  2. L6 Product & team requirements, backlog, vendors, launch
  3. L5 AI agent platform with an independent judge, private RAG
  4. L4 Enterprise systems Bitrix24 ↔ 1C, workflows, production portals
  5. L3 Infrastructure 1,500+ devices under central monitoring
  6. L2 Physical systems 3 parking facilities, 100+ cameras, access control
  7. L1 Devices & firmware medical firmware, ESP32, latency 50 → 0.1 ms

Most specialists own one of these layers. I own the whole stack — and the handoffs between them, where products usually break.

02 / The edge

Why one owner beats five contractors

The usual way
With me
Analyst, architect, developer, integrator, DevOps — five handoffs and five versions of the truth.
One person who understands both the business goal and the bus timing. No context lost between layers.
Hardware and software teams blame each other at the boundary.
I debug across the boundary: firmware, protocol, server, database.
Launch is where the plan meets the real site — and breaks.
I have commissioned parking sites, monitoring and production portals. Launch is part of the design.
AI speeds up the code and multiplies the mistakes.
AI agents work inside my architecture: tests, an independent judge and human approval before anything ships.

03 / Process

From idea to a working product

  1. 01

    Understand

I go to the people who will use the system, find the real constraint and turn it into requirements and success criteria.

  2. 02

    Design

Architecture, data flows, interfaces, hardware and stack choices, risks — decided and written down before the first line of code.

  3. 03

    Build

Hands-on or with a team and AI coding agents. I own the architecture, the interfaces and the quality gates: tests, reviews, reproducible builds.

  4. 04

    Launch

Integration with existing systems and equipment, data migration, on-site commissioning, staff onboarding.

  5. 05

    Run

Monitoring, backups, root-cause analysis and a backlog driven by real usage — the product keeps working after I hand it over.

Selected work

Medical equipment manufacturer2025

Firmware for an endoscopic medical device, IEC 62304-ready

Audited and hardened AVR firmware of an endoscopic insufflator, then prepared the software documentation required for device registration.

Own R&D and client prototypes2023 – 2026

ESP32 devices: voice assistant, motion gloves, USB printer emulator

A series of ESP32-S3 devices from schematic idea to working firmware: offline wake word, wireless sensors, and USB protocol emulation.

3+devices brought to working prototype
02
Own product2025 – 2026

Self-hosted AI agent platform: from task to pull request

05
Medical equipment distributor, Russia2024 – 2026

CRM ↔ ERP integration for a medical equipment distributor

Took over a self-hosted Bitrix24 portal synced with 1C accounting, found why data silently stopped flowing, fixed both sides and built new modules for logistics and the warehouse.

Amusement park portal

Customer portal on top of the Intercard system with online payments (YooKassa).

Product labelling

Integration with Russia’s mandatory product labelling system “Chestny Znak”.

Specinter

Web application on Next.js + FastAPI.

License portal

Licence management portal for medical equipment software.

05 / Track record

17+ years of leading technology

Before freelancing I ran IT and engineering for large operating businesses — the same idea-to-production loop, at the scale of a whole company.

  1. Nov 2024 – Jul 2025

    Head of Digital Transformation

    Duna-Stroy

Owned the digitalisation of cross-functional processes between production sites and the head office.

    • Mapped the manual operations and designed the target workflows; defined requirements and business logic for internal services: requests, leave, IT support, cross-department tasks.
    • Designed the integration architecture between the corporate platform and 1C for employee and organisational data; wrote the specifications and took the 1C ↔ Bitrix24 exchange through implementation and testing.
  2. Nov 2023 – Oct 2024

    Head of Technical Support

    Polezny Soft

Led support for the company’s software products and owned the improvement backlog that fed development.

    • Led the launch of three automated parking facilities with 30+ entry and exit lanes: software deployment, equipment integration, commissioning into production.
    • Turned customer feedback and root-cause analysis into technical requirements and a prioritised product backlog; worked with developers on fixes and features.
    3parking facilities launched, 30+ lanes
  3. Nov 2011 – Apr 2023

    Head of Information Technology

UK Raduga — large shopping and entertainment complex

Ran all technology of a large operating venue for 11+ years — from requirements and architecture to vendors and daily operations.

    • Built central monitoring of 1,500+ server, network, security and engineering devices: incident detection and localisation went from hours to minutes.
    • Designed the integration between the entertainment management system and 1C, automating the flow between operations and accounting.

Take an idea to production: requirements, architecture, team and vendors, delivery, launch. Interim technical lead or CTO-level ownership.

Architecture · Delivery · Teams · Vendors

Embedded & medical devices

ESP32, STM32, AVR, nRF / Zephyr. Hardware selection, firmware, USB, sensors, tests and IEC 62304 software documentation.

ESP-IDF · Zephyr · TinyUSB · IEC 62304

AI agents & private RAG

Claude · Qwen · MCP · RAG

Enterprise platforms & integrations

CRM / ERP integrations, workflow automation, internal portals, warehouse and production systems, infrastructure.

1C · Bitrix24 · .NET · Python · Docker

How I work

  • I start from the business outcome, not from a technology: what must work, for whom, and how we will know it does.
  • Fixed-scope or hourly — your choice. A small paid audit first if the system is unknown.
  • Every production change: backup, dry-run, verification, written report.
  • Decisions are written down (architecture decision records), so the product does not depend on my memory.
  • UTC+5: overlaps with both European mornings and China working hours.
